Why we endorsed Will Anderson for Mayor of Milwaukie

Will Anderson has shown real leadership on animals and climate in Milwaukie. As a city councilor, he proposed a climate-friendly food policy that recognizes how the food we choose to eat drives both animal suffering and climate harm, a connection that’s often missing from local climate action plans.

What we appreciate about Will is that he’s willing to bring animals into the climate conversation, not just energy and transportation. As Council President, he’s shown he can build consensus and get things done, and we’re glad to see him extend that same focus to a food policy that reduces harm to animals.

We’re proud to support Will Anderson for Mayor and look forward to continuing to work with him on animal-friendly food policy in Milwaukie.
